BGS International Foundation for Health Sciences comes under Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust, Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamathana.

Adichunchanagiri, also called Sri Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Math, is a religious mutt and it is situated on a rocky hill at an altitude of about 3,300 ft., above sea level, 110 km west of Bangalore, in Nagamangala Taluk, Mandya District, Karnataka State, India. The present head, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji is the 71st head of this Mutt since 1974. This has a "Guru Parampara" of over 1500 years. Besides, the Mutt is striving for the welfare and betterment of the common people, particularly those of rural areas

At present there are twelve branches of the Mutt. Seven Mutts receive patronage and more than 220 Institutions are managed by the Mutt through a Board of Trustees under the Presidentship of Sri Swamiji. About 6,000 needy students are given free boarding and lodging and about 30,000 students are provided with general and technical education.

BGS International foundation for health sciences, Mysore is one among the institutions under this trust. This has its own vivid history of about 9 years in the field of Nursing education. The motto of our institution is to increase the number of nurses capable of providing the quality nursing care through providing a quality Nursing education to meet the needs of the society. It has proved its excellence in Nursing by having the students well placed across India as well in abroad.
